So, combining with the materials of working roll in tension leveler and rolling mill, the surface hardness and the wear rates of different materials after heat treatment are experimentally analyzed to provide a theoretical guidance for the further improvement of working roll’s materials.
Drawing on the experience of mill roll material selection, and taking an abrasive wear experiment on different materials with heat-treated, new materials with high anti-wear properties of tension leveler working rolls and heat treatment method can be proposed.
For general materials, the higher hardness, the better wear resistance.
