According to the characteristics of oily wastewater, flotation process characteristics and engineering example shows that flotation oily wastewater treatment process better than others, because of the high oil removal efficiency of air flotation process, and processing speed is fast, safe, reliable, economical and practical, but also has a very good application prospects. 1 Classification of oily wastewater, characteristics and hazards 1.1 The classification of the oily wastewater According to sources of oily waste water and oil in the presence of water in different forms, it can be divided into slick, dispersed oil, emulsified oil and dissolved oil. 1.2 The characteristics of oily waste water Composition of the oil itself is very complex, it contain alkanes, cycloalkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, and a variety of non-hydrocarbon components, such as sulfur compounds, nitrogen compounds etc.
Formation mechanism of bubbles and adhesion role of the flocculation particles is mainly the result of the combined effects of the following four factors: first, flocculation particles netting, wrapping and bridging role; second, flocculation particle adhesion bubble collision; third, micro-bubble with micro flocculation particle copolymerization; four, the involvement role of the surfactant. 3 Application of air flotation in oily wastewater treatment engineering 3.1 Reflux dissolved air flotation Reflux dissolved air flotation method is that the gas dissolved under pressure into partially treated water purification, dissolved air of purifying water again to return to flotation pond and mixed with tap water, due to the sudden decompression, supersaturated air of the water is released in the form of tiny bubbles, the bubble carrying oil beads and pollutants, rapidly ascent to the surface of the water,and separating with wastewater, so as to achieve the purpose of purifying wastewater.
Many engineering examples show that the effect of reflux dissolved air flotation treatment technology of oily water is obvious, and it has a lot of advantage, such as short residence time, simple operation, and good treatment effect.
