Residential industrialization makes use of precast element production and fabricated construction modes with characteristics of design standardization, component parts and construction mechanization, which is capable of integrating the whole industry chain such as design, production and construction and realizing sustainable development through a new construction mode that brings out energy-saving, environmental friendly residential products with a maximized value of life cycle. [2] Actually residential industrialization is the production mode or technological means of residences, through the application of modern industrial methods and organizations it integrates technological means and systems of every production factors in all of the residential industrialization production stages to realize construction standardization, components production factorization, residential components serialization, site construction assemblage, integration of civil engineering and decoration and socialization
Furthermore, the industrialized housing development mainly focuses on many backbone enterprises with a better basis of economic power and technical reserves, such as Vanke, Changsha Yuanda Housing Industry Co Ltd., Beijing Cyber Industrialized Housing Integration Systems Engineering Co Ltd., which brings out the lack of integration of large-scale residential industrialization production groups.
As residential industrialization is a kind of system engineering, as for enterprises involved, there are design units, construction units, development enterprises, and components production enterprises and so on.
