Because of the excellent corrosion-resistance of nickel-based alloy, those materials are used for steam generator tube in nuclear power plants.
Introduction The materials of I-690 and I-600 are frequently used for steam generator tube due to the good corrosion resistance.
At first, the rate of oxidation or corrosion increases with temperature, and next, the mechanical properties of the materials are usually affected by temperature [2].
Therefore, a study on the fretting wear in the water lubrication condition is required to examine the fretting wear mechanisms and the wear characteristics of I-690 and I-600 materials.
