Applicable fluids must have good thermodynamics, chemistry, environmental protection, safety and economic characteristics, such as a fluid with low liquid specific heat, viscosity, toxicity, flammability, ozone depletion potential (ODP), global warming potential (GWP) value, price, high latent heat of vaporization, density, stability, and material-compatible, making the system owning a higher thermal efficiency and moderate evaporating condition.
These results suggest that to improve the system performance from the system component expander and evaporator, two aspects should be taken into account: 1) Select the appropriate formed expander and design rational structure, to improve the internal efficiency; 2) Use mixture fluid or supercritical cycle, to make the working fluid absorb heat with variable temperature, improve the match with heat source and reduce the irreversible heat loss of evaporator.
