Introduction Magnesium alloys are becoming increasingly attractive for engineering applications because of their particularly low density, excellent damping capacity, good recycling capacity and machinability.
Due to the concave profile, the liquid metal advanced preferentially along the mold walls and the liquid-EPS products possibly agglomerated in the center regions, thus likely remaining entrapped in the solidified casting.

Introduction Nowadays, there is a huge demand for producing engineering materials, which allow weight reduction of automotive vehicles to reduce fuel consumption to meet environment requirements of the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
The uniaxial tensile tests were performed with the Instron model 5582 universal machine equipped with a 30kN and an advanced video extensometer to measure both the longitudinal and width specimen strains.
Thus, this approach can be viewed as a very promising tool to design tailored microstructures of advanced high strength steels.
