The effects of friction coefficient on driving performance in traveling wave ultrasonic motor

Abstract.
In recent years, many scholars have studied the effects of friction materials parameters, such as elastic modulus, thickness, hardness, friction coefficient, on the output characteristics of ultrasonic motor [1-6].
It is significance to design materials and improvement of motor performance. 2 Simulation and analysis 2.1 Visco-elastic contact model Though the structures of different kinds of TWUSM are different, their drive principles are the same.
Comparing with other common friction materials of TWUSM, it was proved that the motor with EK2 can get better running stability, higher output torque and longer lifetime.
