Abstract.
Since 2006, a lot of measures have been taken such as policy elimination, engineering treatment and reinforced management to reduce and approval of environmental impact assessment, so the accumulated reduction amount of COD (including the newly reduced amount) is about 115 thousand tons in three years, which makes the annual discharge of COD into the Weihe River decrease from 220 thousand tons to 180 thousand tons.
