All these methods are associated with drawbacks such as sludge accumulation, material transportation and treatment for regeneration, membrane fouling, high capital investment costs and high energy waste.
MATERIALS AND METHODS Methylene blue dye and TiO2 from SD-fine chemicals have been used without further purification.
The resulting OH- radical, being a very strong oxidizing agent (standard redox potential + 2.8eV, can oxidize most of the methylene blue dye material.
