In this holder, the ceramic portion of the standard holder was removed and a smooth flat surface (notch) was made at the end of the holder by surface grinding.
In the present study, since the work materials studied include ferrous, non-ferrous and exotic material and the tool electrode materials include the commonly used EDM tool materials, the results obtained are expected to be relevant for the micro EDM of common engineering materials.
