At present, the design theory of the track’s material and its physical dimensions is deduced under the uniform and continuity assumption of the material, without considering the influence of the different material microstructure and property between the surface hardened layer and the heart of the track.
Cast steel material was often used for the hydraulic track.

The normal distribution of the measured young’s modulus in Fig 5 shows that NBD200 material has a higher Young’s modulus than TSN03NH and SN101C material.
TSN03NH material has a narrower range of distribution, which indicates that potentially TSN03NH has better consistency in material processing.
