Mischmetal added into the alloy can improve the mechanical properties of materials, but too much mischmetal will induce the decrease in the material performance.Becase it may generate more the coarse Al11(Ce ,La)3 particle.
Industry fine aluminum (99.99 mass %), Mg (AR), electrolysis Mn(CP),mischmetal(oxides) were used as starting materials.
The tensile specimens is the standard cylinder and processed according to rule of GB6397-86 “Mechanical Properties of Materials”.

Features and parameters selection of historic timber structures Features of timber and structure.Wood and brick are the main materials of chinese ancient buildings, which using wood frame as the main mode and having a complete system of wood components.Unlike concrete, steel and other materials, wood as a non-homogeneous, anisotropic natural polymer organic material,it is very different from other materials on the mechanical properties. For example, the mechanical properties of wood having a great degree change due to different moisture content and species. In the course of thousands years, the surrounding environment including biological, physical, chemical and other external factors, causing the physical properties of wood to decay and the changes in each mechanical properties are vary for different species[6].

Preface The special issue of the "Defects and Diffusion Forum" journal named "Defects and Diffusion Phenomena in Materials for Nuclear Technologies" contains selected peer-reviewed papers covering various aspects of theoretical and experimental study of materials important for the field of nuclear engineering.
The present issue is aimed at complex investigation of nuclear fuel and structural materials properties with considering defects features.
Defects and diffusion are key concepts at description of nuclear materials behavior at thermal and radiation impacts.
Evolution of various defects (such as point defects, dislocations, grain boundaries) determines changes of the materials properties under operating conditions.
We hope that this special issue will be useful for researchers and engineers in the field of material science and nuclear engineering.

Nanosecond pulsed laser heating of colloidal copper nanoparticles in water Samaneh Malek1, a * and Reza Poursalehi2,b 1Department of Physics, Faculty of Basic Sciences, Shahed University, Tehran, Iran 2Nanomaterials group, Department of Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran as.malek@shahed.ac.ir, bpoursalehi@modares.ac.ir Keywords: Nanoparticle, Laser, Optical absorption, Heating.
Our calculations show the appropriate laser wavelength and nanoparticle size which are preferred for large area heating, localized heating without thermal damage or completely localized destroying of small amount of species and polymeric materials modification.
On the basis of several proposed models for the melting temperature of nanoparticles, the melting point, , relative to the melting temperature of the corresponding bulk materials, , decreases with decreasing size in the following form: (8) where represents the nanoparticle diameter and is a material constant.
At the laser wavelength of 248 nm, larger nanoparticles are preferred for large area heating and small nanoparticles are more useful for completely localized destroying of small amount of species and polymeric materials modification.
