Hence, UHMWPE laminated composites are becoming perfect materials for aerospace, tanks and personal protection.
It indicates that damage was occurred, this damage was mostly in the form of front-surface cracks and delamination which changed materials stiffness.

Our calculations show the appropriate laser wavelength and nanoparticle size which are preferred for large area heating, localized heating without thermal damage or completely localized destroying of small amount of species and polymeric materials modification.
On the basis of several proposed models for the melting temperature of nanoparticles, the melting point, , relative to the melting temperature of the corresponding bulk materials, , decreases with decreasing size in the following form: (8) where represents the nanoparticle diameter and is a material constant.
At the laser wavelength of 248 nm, larger nanoparticles are preferred for large area heating and small nanoparticles are more useful for completely localized destroying of small amount of species and polymeric materials modification.
