Power Modulated Plasma-Polymerized Anti-fingerprint Transparent Protective Coating with a Gradient Composition Shiun-Wei Chang, Chun-Ming Chena and Ju-Liang He Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Feng Chia University, Taichung City, 40768, Taiwan.
As a result, the polymeric materials for electronic products are demanded with additional surface treatments for obtaining multi-functional performance including scratch resistance, hydrophobicity, oleophobicity, anti-fingerprint and at the same time remaining optical transparency.
Unfortunately, the commonly used low surface energy fluorocarbon based anti-fingerprint materials exhibit poor mechanical strength.
On the contrary, mechanically durable materials usually do not acquire enough low surface energy for satisfactory anti-fingerprint performance.
