The wind-resistance issue of such a special structure is easily ignored by structural engineers.
This test is conducted in TJ-2 wind tunnel of the State Key Laboratory of Disaster Reduction for Civil Engineering, Tongji University (see Fig. 2).

Abstract.

When assessing the Hutong buildings, we may get one-sided conclusions if merely evaluating the structural safety reliability as we do when assessing general civil buildings.
Firstly, according the Appraiser procedure of general civil buildings, its structural safety reliability is identified.
