Effects of Technological Factors on the Mold Filling Velocity of Magnesium Alloys in the Expendable Pattern Casting (EPC) Process Mingbo Yang 1,a , Fusheng Pan 2,b , Shuangquan Tang3,c 1 Chongqing Institute of Technology, No.4 Xingsheng Road, Yangjiaping, Chongqing400050, P.R.China 2 College of Materials Science and Engineering, Chongqing University, Chongqing400044, P.R.China 3 Chongqing Nanchuan Machinery Industry Co.
High-pressure die casting is currently the preferred route for the advanced materials.
The combination of the advanced technology of the EPC process with the lightest structural materials will surely bring a bright future for the application of magnesium alloys, especially in the casting of thin-wall, complex-geometry and smooth as-cast surface of components [1,2].

Introduction Advance oxidation process (AOP) has been observed as an effective method for the removal various hazardous substances such as organic dyes and heavy metal [1-2].
The most popular Advance oxidation process is photocatalytic process.

Investigation of processes evolving during thin film production by laser surface modification Boross, Péter1 ; Kálazi, Zoltán 1 ; Verezub, Olga 2 ; Verő, Balázs 1 1 Bay Zoltán Institute for Materials Science and Technology, Budapest, Hungary 2 University of Miskolc, Faculty of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, Miskolc, Hungary Keywords: Laser surface modifications, Particle penetration, Equilibrium, Oscillation, Marangonieffect, Solubility, Abstract The usefulness of the laser surface modifications is considerably reduced by the fact that the preevaluation and reproduction of these processes are not sufficent.
To reach advance in these fields, we have to clarify the physical processes taking place during the treatment.
The convection may be of with high velocity (the forces occur are relatively large corresponding to the mass of the melt pool and to the mass of the flowing substance), so this flow can advance the penetration of a floating particle, or constrain the penetration of a particle accelerated by the carrier gas (in Fig. 4 we can see an imprint of a vortex of the Marangoni-flow). 11 Caused by the large temperature-dependence shown by the surface tension. 12 This is only the vertical direction, which occurs as force vector and movement direction in the penetration model in section 1.

The advanced high strength (AHS) steels, for example, dual phase (DP) steels, transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) steels and complex (CP) steels principally exhibit multiphase microstructure features.
Introduction Dual phase (DP) steels are the most important steel grade of the advanced high strength (AHS) steels.
