On the basis of optimized experimental conditions, intermittent current flow method of electro-enhanced technique was adopted in a view to further enhancing Cd removal rate and reducing energy consumption, thus providing technical support for the optimization of cadmium-contaminated soil remediation conditions. 1 Materials and Methods 1.1 Experimental soil The experimental soil was taken from the rice farmland near Science and Education City of Changzhou University.
The reaction apparatus was a cylinder having a depth of 14 cm, an inner diameter of 15 cm and a height of 13 cm, which was made of plexiglass material.

This paper takes an energy saving renovation engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in Wuhan, Hubei province, as a case, and some energy-saving technical measures were put forward, such as Active Dynamic Ventilated Envelope (ADVW), climatic adaptive windows, underground cooling and heat sources, solar building integrated system and under floor air supply system, etc.
In this research, a ventilated air layer marked the biggest characteristic of Active Dynamic Ventilated Wall (ADVW) made by a combination of lightweight composite materials.
This layer itself was covered by a layer of fireproof materials inside and a layer of protection concrete outside.
