According to Puyang Ecological Construction and Environmental Protection Special Planning[11-13],the detecting section of Majia river, Wei river, Jinti river, Tuhai river etc six(6) rivers flowing through the city area in 2003, all the river sections did not meet or surpass grade III of surface water environmental quality standards,100% of the water quality of the detecting section exceeds grade IV,in which five of them exceeds grade V; and the water quality of groundwater and surface water source of drinking water of the city has also been polluted in different degree.
To the year 2009, the water quality of surface water of the city has improved, but the comprehensive pollution index of the water quality is still 0.90, which is medium polluted degree.
It shut down and move out 17 enterprises, stopped production and improved 15 enterprises, and established preliminarily backward capacity elimination mechanism; set up and improve the treatment system of polluted water and refuse disposal of the city and the counties, widely strengthened the protection of the resources and environment, and the concentration of the main pollutants of the surface water has obviously decreased.
Just judging from the fitting curve, the condition of the industrial waste water pollution has been improved, but awareness still should be kept of the rebound and fluctuation of the industrial waste water discharge.
