The use of composite materials to reinforce the stiffness and lighten the weight of boats or other marine vehicles has become a contemporary design method and for this it is important to study and define the material to be used.
The behavior of auxetic structures has not been completely defined by rigorous study, however, its not so elastic behavior shows that its ability to absorb energy makes the resistance to the generation of a fracture or a dent greater than conventional materials.
