Introduction Nanotechnology has revolutionized materials science by enabling the development of functional nanomaterials with enhanced physicochemical properties.
The incorporation of AgNPs into an epoxy matrix provides a functional composite material capable of preventing microbial contamination and enhancing the durability of coatings and packaging materials.
Materials and Methods Materials used for the research are: Silver nitrate (AgNO₃, 99.9%), Telfairia occidentalis leaves, Deionized water, Epoxy resin and hardener, Bacterial strains: Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
The micrographs reveal a generally homogeneous distribution of nanoparticles throughout the composites materials.
