Based on these conditions, an engineering on the shell of Anadara granosa that contained CaCO3 was carried out to produce calcium oxide (CaO) which was used as an addition to Foamed concrete, especially as a binder.
The shells ash sifted through the No. 200 sieve to meet the requirements as a cement substitution material, and then using the Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX) at the Catalyst Laboratory, Faculty of Engineering, universitas Syiah Kuala to find the chemical compounds contained in it.
Water used is in accordance with Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 7974:2013, where for concrete mix and its treatment comes from clean water without containing oil, acid, alkali, salt or other substances that can damage the concrete. water used taken from drilled wells located in the area of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Syiah Kuala which is channelled to the Construction and Materials Laboratory Building.

Influence of Compaction Energy and Bentonite Clay Content in the Soil Hydraulic Conductivity Osvaldo de Freitas Neto1,a *, Olavo Francisco dos Santos Júnior1,b, Fagner Alexandre Nunes de França1,c and Ricardo Nascimento Flores Severo2,d 1Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Center of Technology, Department of Civil Engineering, Av.
Introduction The hydraulic conductivity of soils in some engineering problems must be known by designers and controlled during construction and operation.
Degree of hydraulic conductivity Hydraulic conductivity coefficient [m/s] High > 10-3 Medium 10-3 – 10-5 Low 10-5 – 10-7 Very Low 10-7 – 10-9 Practically Impervious < 10-9 Soils involved in engineering projects are usually subjected to a compaction process in order to improve their geotechnical properties.
They are very important to define some project parameters for the use of a given soil in an engineering project.
