Microwaves penetrate inside of low loss dielectric materials and they are sensitive to the presence of internal interfaces and non-uniformities.
Microwave signals can penetrate deep inside low-conductivity dielectric materials and interact with their inner structure without suffering from high attenuation due to the grain size of a composite material .
Song Haiping, et al. [2] have presented a microwave phase sensitive method to detect the disbonds in the 1ayered dielectric material, this method is simple and speedy and suitable for real-time detection of the disbonds in 1ayered materials.
