Introduction The recycled eggshell is one of the useful materials as a calcium source.
Thus it is reasonable to expect that high-quality and low-cost CaO based ceramic materials can be fabricated by using recycled eggshell.
Materials and Methods A raw eggshell was calcined in an air atmosphere at 800°C for 1h.

The permeability coefficients of the materials used in the engineering is showed in table 1.
The main reason is that the materials of the deep overburden layer have strong permeability, for which the seepage behind the cut-off walls couldn’t be detained.
