Results prove that the removal of siliceous components of raw materials can prominently improve the acid resistance of fracturing proppants.
Introduction Fracturing proppants are necessary materials used in hydraulic fracturing operations to enhance oil and gas recovery in the petroleum industry [1].
In order to further study the influence of removing siliceous components on acid resistance of fracturing proppants, the samples in a silicon-free new system were prepared using CP raw materials Al2O3 and BaCO3.
Compared with the celsian-BaAl2Si2O8 [8], it proves that removing the content of siliceous components in raw materials can prominently decrease the acid solubility of the samples of fracturing proppants.
Hocking, “the effect of corrosion and erosion on ceramic materials,” Corros.

Although the moisture of soil profile can be measured accurately by these methods, only simple point data can be acquired and substantial manpower and materials are required, which is costly and difficult to acquire large-scale soil moisture information efficiently.
Soil is a natural complex consisting of a variety of ingredients, whose spectrum is influenced by numerous factors, such as soil parent materials, organic matters and moisture, and changes dramatically due to different spatial and time conditions.

Implementing Teaching Modules
Teaching modules for materials science were introduced at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute,
in the fall semester, 2000 [7, 11, 12, 13].
We published them in the spring, 2002, as an independent URL available on the public website, http://www.rpi.edu/dept/materials/,ofthe Materials Science and Engineering Department, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
The Need for Teaching Modules Two related difficulties currently face university departments offering materials science and engineering.
Implementation of modules assists students in materials science and engineering to achieve more in-depth exposure to materials sub-fields. 2.
