Study on Carbonation Resistance of High-performance Concrete with Large Amount of Fly Ash Xuesong Zhang1, a 1Colledge of Pipeline and Civil Engineering China University of Petroleum, Qingdao, Shandong, 266555, China asnowpiner@upc.edu.cn Keywords: High-performance concrete, Fly ash, Water-binder ratio, Compressive strength, Mechanism of carbonation, Carbonation depth.
However, anti-carbonation of fly ash on concrete properties is of lots of controversy in academic circles and some tests conclusions are quite different [2], which has a great influence on wide use of fly ash in engineering practice.
In practical engineering, as the concentration of CO2 gas in the atmospheric is low, the carbonation process is very slow, with fly ash pozzolanic reaction having been carried out, and the strength of concrete changes, the internal density of concrete continuously improves, porosity reduces, carbonation speed correspondingly reduces, so the anti- carbonation ability of the concrete is continuously enhanced.

Architectural Tectonics as a “Living Pattern” of Building Structures Svetozar Zavarichin1,a*, Wladimir Temnov2,b 1,2Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering Vtoraja Krasnoarmejskajaul. 4, St.
However, the use of the technical term with reference to creative endeavors gave rise to a certain dualism in its interpretation, from fetishization of the role of engineering constructions to replacement of constructional expediency by architectural plastics and functional expressionism.
The functionalists, proceeding from the simplified interpretation of the notion “the truth in architecture”, did not associate the architectural tectonics with imagery, but led everything to the “true-to-life” presentation of the construction itself or the function as such, which made it possible to evaluate architecture in the same terms as engineering structures whose beauty can really be comparable to the beauty of optimally resolved constructions or functional spaces.
The new building technologies and materials, plus the increased role of engineering factors in the development of architecture, left behind the tectonic systems based on the imagery demonstration of the constructions’ vital functions.
