Abstract.
This paper aims to investigate the applications of solar water heating systems in a typical Southern China city, e.g., Dongguan City, find out the basic situations and existing problems of solar hot water systems locally, provide reliable evidence for the high efficient utilization and practical engineering projects of solar energy usage, present solid foundations for local government to develop energy policies and energy saving evaluation index, and to supply scientific basis for the government to macroscopically adjust the utilization of renewable energies.

Abstract
Due to increase of requirements on accuracy of structural analyses, practically applicable computational tools for reliable determination of the real structural performance of bridges are needed.
In the present study, intended for practicing and design engineers, consideration is restricted to a linear creep law, which implies applicability of the principle of superposition.
