In 1994, the Australian eco-practice and research started in the Water Research Laboratory and the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and in 1997 received applications.
In May of 1993, China Taiwan developed "Public Works Ecological Engineering urban design principles" that provides possible use of permeable materials and design for the driveways and sidewalks pavement, in order to direct rainwater infiltration to the ground soil, in July of 2003 after a large number of experimental studies, Taipei City Government Public Works Bureau laid the first permeable pavement at Xi'an Street of Taipei in Taiwan.

Summary Reinforced concrete structure occupies an extremely important position in the construction engineering, the dynamic performance of the earthquake action is the main basis of seismic design, and the mechanical performance of its constituent materials of concrete under the earthquake strain rate plays a decisive role on the seismic performance of reinforced concrete structures.

Introduction Nowadays, polymer composites demonstrate a high potential of applications in various fields, such as automotive, civil, marine and space industries owing to high specific strength and stiffness, high fatigue life, reliability, good wear resistance and other physical and mechanical properties.
In some engineering applications, man-made cellulose fibres can be alternative to traditional glass fibre reinforcement due to their stable properties.
