The International Commission on Radiological Protection recommends reducing radiation exposure doses to the lowest possible level, bearing in mind the importance of ensuring radiation safety.
These facts caused the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) to revise its concepts as early as in 1978.
We imply the wastes of industrial origin, those from fuel systems, especially from coal-fired ones, which are used by construction industry enterprises as additives or components for various types of concrete, in silicate and ceramic manufacturing, in highway engineering.
It is well known that the effective specific activity of radium and radon emanation rate increase if steam-curing of concrete or autoclave treatment of silicate breaks are used, while burning of cement clinker or ceramic breaks considerably reduces the specified parameters [2].

Introduction Due to good physical properties, ceramics has been applied to diverse engineering fields.
However the brittleness of ceramics limits their application.
Therefore toughening of ceramics has been being asubject of study.
