RESEARCH ON APPLICATION OF NEW CONCRETE SILO CONSTRUCTION TECHNICAL SYSTEM Guo-liang TIAN (School of Resources and Environmental Engineering Wuhan University of Technology, 430070, Wuhan, China) Keywords: concrete; silo; tube-in-tube; variable cross-section; large diameter; slip formwork Abstract: considering the development of concrete silo structure in recent years and engineering characteristics of large reinforced concrete silo, construction processes and structures of concrete silos are classified and general construction technical system is formed through innovation of construction technique and process.
Reinforced concrete silos, categorized as special engineering structures, are widely applied in building materials, coal, electricity, ports, mining, food and other industries.
Construction periods also serve as the prerequisite for occupation and continued expansion of market. 1.3.2 Aspects of construction technology Since the structure is complicated and large-scale, if traditional construction methods are applied, some of them are difficult to meet the engineering & technical requirements and construction technical requirements.
For internal tube, it is advised to apply reinforced enclosure construction, form stable structural system via inside-tube radially adjustable drawbar, and exert the role of engineering center positioning at the same time.
