Our data was based on Shanghai A-share companies for the period 2008 to 2011.
Based on the social responsibility report of Shanghai A-share companies disclosed from 2008 to 2011, we find evidences that support a strong corporate governance influencing factor on the extent of environmental information disclosure.
Research Design The environmental disclosure index is constructed using social responsibility reports of Shanghai A-share listed companies from period of 2008 and 2011.
In this paper we examine the extent to which corporate governance influence environmental information disclosure using data from Shanghai A-share listed companies from period 2008-2011.
