Abstract.
With an aim to utilize the local-based waste materials, this research investigated the production of mill scale - biomass pellet (MBP) as an alternative charged material for EAF steelmaking.
This work has provided an idea for circular economy to utilize waste materials from industrial and agricultural sectors in steelmaking industries.
Raw materials a) Rubber tree bark and b) mill scale.
Performance of the MBP to be used as charged materials in steelmaking process was investigated via the reduction reactions at high temperature.

The analytical grade raw materials used were SrCO3 (99.99% purity, Sigma Aldrich), Nd2O3 (99.99% purity, Sigma Aldrich), and Fe2O3 natural ferrite.
The Fe2O3 natural ferrite materials were obtained by extracting and milling natural iron sand adhering the following procedure.
The reduction of Ms, χ, and μ values are derived from the substitution of Fe3+ ions by Nd3+ ions in SNF composite materials.
In general, it can be mentioned that the four samples in this study are suitable for use as microwave absorbent materials.
