Introduction
The Engineering Materials Diffractometer TAKUMI [1] at the Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF) in the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC) is a time-of-flight neutron diffractometer dedicated to the study of various engineering problems such as the stress and strain deformation, phase transformation and texture in engineering materials.
A similar system is also used for in situ measurement at the engineering diffractometer VULCAN at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) [3].

Abstract.
We have built a forum system based on Discuz!
for developers to communicate and learn from each other, the forum system and the open platform can login and logout synchronously.
After users login the open platform successfully, data are transferred to UCenter, then UCenter notify the forum to set cookie, so when users visit the forum, they can login automatically using the cookie.
The PDO's purpose is to provide a light, clear and convenient API and unify the common characteristics of different RDBMS libraries, but it does not rule out the more advanced features and provides an optional larger degree of compatibility through the PHP script.

The aim of the conference is to bring together the
expertise of scientists and engineers in academia and industry in the field of damage assessment,
structural health monitoring (SHM) and non-destructive evaluation (NOE).
To efficiently analyse the data rich information provided by monitoring and NOE techniques it is necessary to use advanced signal processing procedures.
The DAMAS series of conferences is now established as a major forum for discussion and dissemination of recent advances in damage detection, assessment and quantification, following the four previous conferences in Pescara (199S), Sheffield (1997), Dublin (1999) and CardifT(2001).
The proceedings covers activities relevant to damage assessment of engineering structures and systems including signal processing of sensor measurements and analytical techniques as well as experimental case studies.
The conference themes are as follows: • Damage assessment • Advanced methods ofNDT • Recent advances in signal processing and algorithms • Structural integrity • Damage mechanisms • Fatigue damage • Damage location and quantification • Sensors and measurement strategies • Lntell igent materials • Knowledge-based systems • Condition monitoring • Biomedical damage detection and analysis • Case studies The conference organising committee is very grateful to the authors for their careful efforts in producing the papers and to the Scientific Committee and the Keynote Speakers for taking the time to reviewing the papers to journal standards.
