Physical Simulation of Thermomechanical Processing of Multiphase Mn-Al Steels with Retained Austenite Adam Grajcar 1,a, Paweł Skrzypczyk 1,b, Roman Kuziak 2,c and Klaudiusz Gołombek 1,d 1 Institute of Engineering Materials and Biomaterials, Silesian University of Technology, 18a Konarskiego Street, 44-100 Gliwice, Poland 2 Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy, 12-14 K.
Introduction Stress-strain behaviour and formability of advanced multiphase high-strength sheet steels (AHSS) used by the automotive industry are dependent on the relative fractions and morphology of individual microstructural constituents.
Advanced ultra-high strength steels (UHSS) contain a higher fraction of hard phases, i.e., acicular ferrite, bainite or martensite [9-11] compared to AHSS containing polygonal ferrite as a matrix.
