The use of foundry waste in civil engineering is one of the most discussed issues by several environmental polities.
In civil engineering, the use of disposable materials in constructions has importance not only for development of alternative and low cost materials, but also to stimulate the local economy, decrease the pollution on sanitary landfills and contribute to the sustainable development [1, 2].
This paper investigates the possibility to reuse the foundry waste in mortars used in civil engineering; thus, studies were conducted by evaluation of the water retention in mortars built with several concentrations of foundry powder.
According to past studies, the development of mortars with foundry powder shows to be feasible in civil engineering for powder concentrations between 5 and 15% [7].
This result highlights the importance of reusing disposable compounds in materials science such as foundry powder in the civil engineering.

Abstract: Manual arc welding is widely used in all kinds of welding material in the civil engineering because of their stable performance characteristics.
Different welding method, the vickers hardness values along the axis direction of the welded joint and along the direction of cross section are also not identical, and all these lead to the different performance of the different welding joints. 0 Introduction Hot rolling ribbed reinforcement of HRB400 level is one of the basic materials for civil engineering, which plays a very important role in the development of construction industry.

FRP bars were used to improve the mechanical properties of bamboo beams for civil engineering without changing the existing bamboo processing technology in this paper.
Bamboo instead of wood, bamboo engineering structures built with bamboo engineering materials which are fabricated by modern composite and recombinant technology also have similar superior performance as the wooden structures, including insulation and saving energy, anti-seismic performance, mechanical properties, and construction and industrialization, etc.
