In fact, AM technology, in spite of its significant economic impact in manufacturing has not yet drawn strong interest from material science perspectives.
Furthermore, the feature size realizable is greater than 2mm and only materials that are available in wire or ribbon form can be used.
· For AM functional gradient materials, the transition zone strategy in relation with alloy compositions and process parameters

The results proved that calcium based materials could be successfully employed as sorbent for CO2 separation.
However, mining large quantities of raw materials such as limestone result in extensive deforestation and top soil loss [7].

Introduction In recent years, there is a lot of attention on the study of wave propagation in periodic composite materials which are also called the band gap materials [1,2].
With this characteristic, the band gap materials have many potential applications such as the acoustic transducers and filters and the vibration isolation technology.
As a result, there is a growing interest on the band gap materials with both theoretical and experimental investigations [3–6].
It should be noted that in the practical applications, due to the error in the manufacture, the random disorders cannot be avoided and the band gap materials become the randomly disordered system.
