Based on the engineering practice of Yonghe Bridge, the roles, mechanical properties, and its calculation methods were systematically presented here, so as to lay the foundation for forming of the theory of RCS.
To eradicate the hidden danger at the joint, a strengthening engineering using the method of RCS was conducted in Yonghe Bridge in the year 2006.
Using the program, MIDAS/CIVIL, A FEM model was established.
In addition, welding-off between the stiff frame and the main girder never took place in the period of RCS, and the strength, stiffness and stability, etc. of the stiff frame itself had withstood the test of engineering practice.

Dynamic Fracture Toughness: Critical Review of Materials and Developments Raja Ahsan Javeda, Zhu Shifanb, Muhammad Faridc Department of Mechanical and electrical Engineering, Harbin Engineering University, Harbin 150001, HeiLongJiang, PR China arajishere2010@hotmail.com, bzhushifan@hrbeu.edu.cn, cmuhammadfarid1978@gmail.com Keywords: Dynamic fracture toughness, Charpy impact test specimen, Hopkinson Pressure bar, Dynamic J-R curve, Welding, DBTT, FEA Abstract. For design to be more safe, dynamic fracture toughness (DFT) of material needs to be determined.
The structures of interest under DL conditions are airplanes, ships, submarines, offshore structures, space vehicles and civil structures.
Among these fracture properties, the fracture toughness initiation fracture of engineering material is the most important FM parameter.
Lots of efforts have been done by scientists and engineers for calculation of dynamic properties of steel.
