Here, the twin-roll cast magnesium strips are heat treated and then hot rolled to the desired final roll thickness at temperatures between 250 and 400 °C on a reversing mill, in quarto construction, in several passes with pass reductions between 15 and 40 %, while the individual passes’ strain rate varies between 10 and 100 s-1.
Though the data presented here are the result of different rolling schedules including interstage annealing and/or subsequent heat-treatment, some clear trends following the final deformation grade have been documented.

Understanding the tensile properties of nanocrystalline bainite Some tensile strength and ductility data at room temperature on nanocrystalline steels are reported elsewhere [1].
Thus, the observed rapid strain hardening during tensile testing of bainite formed at 200 ºC was found to be related to the reduction of austenite fraction due to stress-induced transformation.
