Early studies on the mechanics of gel swelling by Tanaka et al [1] consists of decomposing the material into the two individual phases for separate analysis, which limits the analysis of such materials to simple geometries[1], [2].

Results and Discussion Fig.1 show the XRD patterns of 20vol%-Cu/Ti3AlC2 synthesized from 850°C to 1100°C and of the Fig.1 XRD patterns of Cu/Ti3AlC2 composite synthesized at different temperature ranging from 850°C to 1100°C.
Therefore, according to the XRD patterns, the reaction between Ti3AlC2 and Cu can be simply illustrated as follows: 3 2 9 4 Ti AlC + Cu TiC + Cu Al → (1) According to the Fig.3 (c), the layered grain in Fig.3 (a) is Ti3AlC2, which has been mentioned in our previous work [9].

These glasses are chemically stable, show a broad transparency range and have low phonon energies when compared to oxide glasses [1].
