The fractal dimension D may be related to the intrinsic physical properties of metal materials, such as hardness and toughness, which needs to be further studied.
Materials and Methods In this study, two kinds of typical metallic materials used for analysis are stainless steel 0Cr18Ni9 and aluminum alloy 2A12, including ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
It is obviously that although the materials varies, both fractal dimension D and surface roughness Ra were even close at the relative movement mode of multi-directional cross-shear, which is used widely and commonly in simulated wear tests and proved to be an effective way to investigate the wear properties of materials, especially in artificial joints, such as UHWMPE for implants in human body [11].

The
corresponding technological measures can be adopted as the guidance for materials selection and
reasonable matching in the designing.
In other words, the integrated strength facilitates shooting the material properties and thickness which can make full use of the materials and get the best formability of TWB.
The simulation results are as follows: (1) In the case of same base metals: the discrepancy of integrated strength between two base materials increases with thickness ratio.
