Numerical Modeling of the Constitutive Relationship of a Soft Rock Using a 3-D Elastic Visco-Plastic Model * Su Lijun1 , Liao Hongjian2 and Yin Jianhua1 1 Department of Civil and Structural Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hung Hom, Kowloon, Hong Kong, China 2 Department of Civil Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University,Shaanxi, China Keywords: soft rock, constitutive relationship, equivalent time, strain softening, consolidated undrained triaxial test, time-dependent ABSTRACT In this paper, a diatomaceous soft rock is studied.
It is often encountered in civil engineering constructions.
Many engineering disasters of hydraulic structures worldwide were caused by existing of soft rock stratum [1].
More and more civil structures are constructed on soft rock, so it is essential to study the mechanical behavior of soft rock.

Studies on application of the Trinidad Lake Asphalt on the pavement in the quarter natural frozen area Hong-Dong Li College of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Heilongjiang Institute of Science and Technology Haerbin, 150027, P.R.
According to the conditions of the research in both civil and aboard, and thinking of the northeast region's climate characteristics, we research performance of the bitumen with different dosage Lake asphalt.
The engineering practice shows: the TLA has superior performance and prevent road pavement disease, its prospect is wonderful.
Inspite of the related study it came to the end of a stage, from the points of view science, punctuality, engineering practice, and the follow two aspects should be modified and improved further: The traffic on the experimental road in only one year, the indoor fatigue experiment did not carry on, so the long observational study on the experiment road should go on to assess the long anti-fatigue performances of TLA mixtures.
