Self-propelled rotary tools are being rediscovered for their applications in machining of
'difficult-to-machine' materials or for general improvement in the productivity of machining
operations.
These developments have resulted in significant improvement in the machining of aerospace materials without compromising the integrity of the machined surfaces.
Recently, there has been renewed interest in the technology of rotary tools for their applications in the high productivity machining and the processing of 'difficult-to-machine' materials [5,6].
The tool insert material is made of P30-50 coated with W18Cr4V.

This level of rust formation does not influence the conditions of the machine tool and work materials.
However, no rust formation was observed on the machine tool, cutting tool, and work materials during experiments.
