By using some
catalyst, the operating condition for this reaction is usualy is in temperature range of 300 - 800 oC
under atmosphoric pressure (Zhang B. et al, 2006; Adhikari S. et al., 2007 & 2008; Iriondo A. et al,
2008).
HAP has potential to be develop as catalyst or catalyst support because this biomaterial has a mesopores structure and particle size of 5 - 40 nm (Atir et al, 2006; Marques et al, 2006).
Mesopores structure have particle size 2-50 nm, has high surface area and high porosity (Prelot et al, 2005), as a result, HAP is an excellent high surface area support to make catalysts.
HAP can be extracted from bone, tooth and mineral rock, exhibits good stability at high temperature (Hammari et al., 2004).
