Abstract.
In order to gain basic information on using CR modified asphalt mixtures in Zhejiang of China, the main objectives of this study is to conduct laboratory tests on CR modified binders and mixtures with different CR concentrations, to comprehensively evaluate their engineering characteristics, then to recommend the best suitable CR modified mixtures as the local paving materials.
Table5 Test results of binder rheological properties Rutting factor Binder type 80/100 CR5 CR10 CR15 (60C,kPa) 9.5 10.8 14.2 11.7 Mixture test results and discussion A series of laboratory tests were designed to assess the fundamental engineering properties, including moisture susceptibility, permanent deformation and low temperature cracking characteristics, of the conventional AC16 and the three types of CR modified AC16.
