The XRD patterns of heat-treated (under CO2) C0.5-Si0.5-HA powders and C0.5-Si0.5-HA pellets (Fig. 1) show an apatitic well crystallized structure (PDF 9-432).

Fig.2 shows XRD patterns of the samples by the atrane method with different Si/V ratios.
