Knowing the value of μij, earing sizes can be easily determined using any advanced finite element package.
It should be noted, however, that the accuracy of calculations tends to decrease as the number of texture components increases. 2) Assisted by an advanced software package, this method provides good results and enables measuring earing height with high accuracy. 3) The effect of friction, which was neglected in the present study, may have introduced some inaccuracy in the calculations.
