Utilization of Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag Seed Crystal in Eco-cement Hongmei Ai, Jingjing Wei, Junying Bai, Puguang Lu Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering, Dalian University of Technology Dalian 116024, P R China Key words: eco-cement, GGBS, seed crystal, sintering temperature, strength Abstract: Eco-cement produced from waste concrete was proved to be feasible in early research.
The detailed process for the production of eco-cement clinker was carried out with several steps as follows: (1) Put the briquettes to a ceramic crucible and sent them into a high temperature furnace, which had been preheated to 950℃, for half an hour, as the step of predissociation, and then sent into another high temperature furnace, which had been preheated to 1320℃, for half an hour, as the step of calcination

Introduction According to the definition developed by Fookes in 1991, the term geomaterial includes soils, rocks and minerals that are predominantly used in building construction and/or their structure, both in their natural form or processed in bricks or cement, but excluding products manufactured by technologically complex processes, based on advanced engineering knowledge [1].
