characteristics of SiC such as low fracture toughness and low strain-to fracture impose a severe
limitation on the practical applications of SiC materials.
SiCf/SiC composites can be considered as a promising candidate in various structural materials, because of their good fracture toughness.

Comparing with the traditional materials, these electromagnetic shielding materials can realize the high efficiency shielding of wideband electromagnetic field, especially in the low frequency band.
Requirement of Light, Green Shielding Materials.
In order to satisfy the requirement of the green electromagnetic shielding materials we must modify the composites and make them conductive and magnetic so that the composites will not only have the function of electromagnetic shielding as the structural materials but also fulfill the structural function unitization of materials.
The new conductive and magnetic wide-band shielding materials can be acquired by mixing multi-component agents, nuclear-shell compound, and multiplayer coating compound of different shielding materials [5].
