Pavol Zubko and his team from the Department of Materials Science,
Faculty of Metallurgy, Technical University of Košice, Slovakia.
The conference proceedings were published at first by conference organizers, later (2007 - 2011) in the journal Chemické listy, the LMP 2012 is now published by Trans Tech Publication in the Key Engineering Materials periodical for the first time.
The conference discusses recent results of research and development in the field of materials engineering, experimental methods, modeling, etc., with the aim to characterize mechanical properties of materials from nano to micro/meso-scale.
Contributions on indentation and other methods for hardness and other mechanical properties assessment, measurement of deformations and stresses, time-dependent mechanical properties with related microstructure analyses (TEM/SEM, AFM, TERS, etc.) regardless of material type (metals, ceramics, plastics, biomaterials, concrete, etc.) are welcome.

Abstract.
When laser irradiates the materials, its luminous energy is absorbed by certain area (usually the surface) of the materials and converted into heat and it becomes a heat source.
When the energy is 20mJ, the laser punching is in stage of weak material removal and laser removes materials indistinctly.
When the energy is 30mJ-60mJ, the removal of the surface materials begin distinctly, belonging to the transition stage of removal of the surface materials.
Nature Science Journal of Jilin University, 1994;(2):79-80 [5] Jiang Chao, Wang Youqing, Hu Shaoliu.

Concrete remains the main construction material of the majority of built and reconstructed structures and units.
However, concrete is the most complex artificial composite material with a wide range of unique performance properties.
Concentration of MM (Cm) was calculated in mass % on a dry material on the amount of the disperse phase.

Principle of Micro EDM and Feasibility of Reversible Machining
The principle of micro EDM follows the general rule of the traditional EDM, this process can be
also divided into four continuous steps: medium ionization and broken down then forming of a
discharge channel; medium decomposition and electrodes materials melting and gasifying; the
removed electrodes materials ejecting; and deionization of the discharge [4].
