Interdiffusion is a diffusional process of atoms across two materials that are in contact.

Nanocrystalline materials have different properties compared to materials with microcrystalline grains.
Materials and Methods The raw materials used were BaO and α-Fe2O3 (99% purity) commercial powders mixed in a molar ratio corresponding to W-type barium ferrite.
The nanocomposite materials recorded higher magnetic parameters than the microcomposite materials.

The material used in this study was a commercially available AA-6005 aluminum alloy commonly utilized in the railway sector.
Concerning the obtained results, it is important to highlight that the process parameters used for the FSW process were not optimized but set as suggested in literature when same sheet thickness and tool-workpiece materials were used.
