According to the data, the maximum input acceleration of shaking table is 790.332gal, while the output acceleration of concrete slab is 563.61gal, reducing by 28.69%.
It is shown by the data that the creeping energy dissipation of gravel layer occupies 92.56% of the total seismic energy, and the frictional dissipation merely takes up 7.44%.
Fig. 11 is the relation chart of seismic energy, frictional energy dissipation and creeping energy dissipation under the same operating condition. t is shown by the data that the creeping energy dissipation of gravel layer occupies 92% of the total seismic energy, and the frictional dissipation amounts to 8%.
As shown by the data and figures above, for buildings and structures under the action of earthquake, sliding friction can effectively dissipate the seismic energy.

Data and Method Data Source.
The data includes: 1) Scale and occupancy rate of China’s star-rated hotel rooms in 2009, based on The Yearbook of China Tourism Statistics 2010 (Supplement). 2) Energy requirements of star-rated hotel rooms per bed night, based on the data provided by Jinhe[5]. 3) Railway, roads and waterway passenger-kilometer of 31 Chinese provinces in 2009, based on China Statistic Yearbook 2009. 4) Limited to the difficulty in collecting data, aviation passenger kilometers of 31 Chinese provinces in 2008 is used to replace the data in 2009, based on the China Compendium of Statistics 1949-2008. 5) Tourism Industry revenue of China’s 31 provinces in 2009, based on The Yearbook of China Tourism Statistics 2010 (Supplement). 6) Carbon emission factors for railway, roads, waterway and aviation, based on the data provided by Yanxu and et al.
Considering the collection of statistics data of tourism transportation, passenger-kilometer can be quoted directly because tourism transportation is part of the passenger transportation.

The mechanism of adsorption is clarified to be the oxidation of hydroxyl groups and reduction of trivalent gold ions to metallic gold on the adsorbent surface which were supported by FT-IR, XRF and SEM.
The results showed that the adsorption data fit well (R2 = 0.999) with Langmuir model, therefore the adsorption capacity in this study should be based on monolayer adsorption

These improvements show substantial reduction of GHG in the manufacture of magnesium IPs and improvement in comparative GHG performance with other materials.
An IP is studied because of the high non-metal components and the opportunities for weight reduction through substitution of metal and non-metal structural components with magnesium.
This comparison is also extended to investigate two different routes for the production of magnesium: thermal reduction and electrolysis.
Most of the data for manufacturing magnesium, steel and plastics components of IP variants have been obtained from published data and SimaPro database [5].
The LCA study makes some simplifying assumptions in computing the emissions due to reasons of project time constraints, availability of data and the complexity.

Shear strength reduction approach is applied to evaluate stability of rock slope and calculate safety factor of sliding surface.
For example, input parameters are not usually measured and availability of these data is generally poor.
The factor of safety in case of slope stability analysis by strength reduction method may be defined as the ratio of the resisting shear strength of the material to the driving shear stress developed along the failure plane.
In order to evaluate the factor of safety, finite element method is applied by combining with shear strength reduction approach.

The empirical equation (1) derived for supported film can still hold to describe the data for the low Mw free-standing films with modified fittings.
This may suggest that the mechanism of Tg reduction is the same for both supported and free standing film, i.e. the free surface should be the reason of Tg reduction.
The larger the Mw is, the thicker the film that the Tg reduction happens.
It supports that chain ends are not important in the Tg reduction, and the Tg reduction arises mainly from the fast dynamics in the surface region.
