An integrated optimization platform was developed to obtain an optimized mould design, a mould and plastic part budget, an optimal injection moulding parameter report and a mould specification report, as described in Carina et al [1].
A genetic algorithm called NSGA-II, developed by Deb, et al.[3],was used to optimize the cycle time.
Li el al.[5] developed an application to design a preliminary cooling system layout using a heuristic selection algorithm, in order to select the best alternative for cooling channels design.
According to Menges, et al. [6], the cooling system is very important in injection mould performance and plastic part quality.
This linkage between mould systems is possible through mathematical formulation where all phenomena are translated in mathematical equations, as stated by Kazmer [2], Menges, et al. [6], or instead, if only the cooling system is considered, as formulated by Park,H., et al., [9].

Garandet et al. [1] proposed an analytical method to solve the governing equations of magneto hydrodynamics to be used to model the effect of a transverse magnetic field on natural convection in a two-dimensional enclosure.
Al-Najem et al. [3] used the power law control volume approach to determine the flow and temperature fields under a transverse magnetic field in a tilted square enclosure with isothermal vertical walls and adiabatic horizontal walls at Prandtl number of 0.71 and showed that the suppression effect of the magnetic field on convection currents and heat transfer is more significant for low inclination angles and high Grashof numbers.
Recently, Pirmohammadi et al. [5] studied the effect of a magnetic field on buoyancy-driven convection in differentially heated square enclosure.

Pal[10] et al use a simple device architecture based on a poly(3,4-ethylendioxythiophene) : poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS)-coated indium tin oxide anode and a LiF/Al cathode to assess the effects of shell thickness on the properties of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) comprising CdSe/CdS core/shell nanocrystal quantum dots (NQDs) as the emitting layer (Figure 1).
(B) (A) Their simple device architecture comprises a NQD active layer in between a poly(3,4-ethylendioxythiophene):poly-(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS)-coated indium tin oxide (ITO) anode and a LiF/Al cathode (Figure 1A).
